OG Marry Me Chicken (Yes, It’s That Good)

There are some recipes that don’t just feed people — they win them over. This is one of those dishes.

If you’ve spent any time around Bloody Darn Good, you know we believe our OG mix belongs far beyond the brunch table. This OG Marry Me Chicken is proof. It’s cozy, bold, a little indulgent, and exactly the kind of meal you make when you want to impress without overthinking it.

Creamy. Garlicky. Packed with flavor. And yes — it uses our OG Bloody Darn Good mix as the secret weapon.

Why This Dish Works

Our OG mix already has layers of tomato, spice, and seasoning built in, which means it does the heavy lifting for your sauce. Add garlic, cream, parmesan, and sun-dried tomatoes, and suddenly you’ve got a one-pan dinner that tastes like it took all day.

It’s weeknight-friendly, dinner-party approved, and very much “make this once and people ask for it again.”

OG Marry Me Chicken

Serves: 4 - 6
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken breast, cubed

  • 2 cups Bloody Darn Good OG Mix

  • 5 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes in oil

  • ½ cup parmesan cheese

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • 2 cups spinach

  • 1 cup orzo, uncooked

  • Fresh basil, julienned

  • Olive oil

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the cubed chicken and cook for about 2 minutes per side, just until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.

  2. In the same pan, sauté the garlic for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.

  3. Stir in the Bloody Darn Good OG mix, uncooked orzo, sun-dried tomatoes, and parmesan cheese.

  4. Return the chicken to the pan, reduce heat to low, and let everything simmer for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the orzo is fully cooked.

  5. Stir in the heavy cream and spinach until the spinach wilts. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Finish with fresh basil and serve warm.

How We Serve It

This dish is perfect on its own, but we love it with:

  • A simple green salad

  • Crusty bread for soaking up the sauce

  • A glass of wine or a classic Bloody Mary (obviously)

This is exactly the kind of recipe that shows what Bloody Darn Good is all about — bold flavor, unexpected uses, and food that brings people together. If this one earns you a proposal… don’t say we didn’t warn you. 😉
